This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to www.amethystbks.com and Amethyst Bookkeeping Solutions LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and describes how we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your personal information when you use our services (“services”), including when you use our website and/or engage with us in contracted service.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us.  However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to inquire about or use or services. This may include your name, address, email, and phone number, as well as details about your business, such as its name, address, and tax identification number. Additionally, we may collect financial records such as bank statements, invoices, receipts, and tax documents, along with any other information you choose to provide that is necessary for us to fulfill our services. All information is collected with your consent and strictly for professional purposes.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the website.  This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, location, information about how and when you use our website, and other technical information.  This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our website, and for internal analytics and reporting purposes.

We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.

We do not sell, rent or lease our customer lists to third parties.

Do we collect information from minors?

What rights do you have over your data?

If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at amanda@amethystbks.com.  Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will delete your personal information from our records and direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

  • Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected;
  • Provide a good service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us;
  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity;
  • Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
  • Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us;
  • Comply with an existing legal obligation; or
